One-Hour Initial Dog Training Behavior Consult

(1hr / $150)

Schedule a one-hour virtual (or in-home in Utah) consult with Pro Dog Trainer Annie Phenix. The purpose of this initial consult is for owners to share their top training or behavior concerns that they are seeing in their dog. This is an information-gathering consult and not a detailed roadmap – those are offered in our training and behavior packages (see below). Annie will follow up with educational emails that include articles, videos and suggested webinars that address your concerns for your specific dog. Discussion is recorded over Zoom and sent to the owner for future reference. Consults are paid in advance and are not refundable. In-home consults available for Heber City and Midway dog owners. Annie also works with obedience training including: loose leash walking, recall, polite people greetings, puppy pre-school, etc.

Obedience Training

(2 hrs / $300)

Annie has put numerous obedience titles on her own dogs as well as client dogs. She served as a AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator for a decade. She works with all kinds of obedience training and she trains through motivation and she is always force free. Comes with 2 in-home or virtual training sessions.

Training topics include: 

• puppy enrichment and pre-school
• puppy nippy and 24-hour potty training protocol
• jumping on people
• polite leash walking
• reliable recall
• resource guarding
• how to stop barking, digging, etc
• 5 life skills a dog needs
• how to create safe spaces for dogs
• how to create resiliency and courage in dogs

Bringing Home a New Dog Consult

(2 hours / $350)

What happens in the first 30 days with your new dog can either set your dog up for a happy, obedient life or it can create future behavior concerns – we have to get it right! Utah Pet Dog Trainer and Behaviourist Annie Phenix has a unique set up for a win-win home environment for your new puppy or dog. Annie goes over all that your new dog will need to adjust to living her best life with you, including:

• Creating a confident, curious, resilient dog
• Potty training within 24 hours
• Sleeping protocols
• Safe Enrichment/chew toys
• Cooperative Care/handling 
• Proper & Safe Socialization
• Safe play with other dogs
• Leash & harness introductions

Loose Leash Walking Consult

(2 hours / $350)

Many owners have frustrating on-leash walks with their dogs – and it can be equally as frustrating for your dog. Utah Pet Dog Trainer and Behaviourist Annie Phenix teaches you how to create an enjoyable, outdoor experience that meets your dogs needs as well as your own. The first hour consult is a discussion about your dog and your needs with specific training protocols that work for your environment. The second hour takes place after you’ve had time to implement the training and submit videos for trouble shooting and additional enrichment and training ideas.

Starter Package

(4 weeks / $800)

This training/behavior package is a one-on-one 4-week behavior intensive education with Pro Dog Trainer and Behaviourist Annie Phenix is for first-time dog owners or owners who do not have extensive experience with dogs. If you are seeing canine behavior that you find troubling (excluding bites/aggression/reactivity), this is where to begin. Annie also works with obedience training including: loose leash walking, recall, polite people greetings, puppy pre-school, etc.

This package includes four 1-hour consults (in-person locally or virtually elssewhere) that are tailored to your dog and your unique experience. We meet over Zoom (or in person locally) each week and you can email Annie throughout the month for any reason and you will receive a priority response within 48 hours. Annie will email educational materials that directly speak to your dog’s issues all while keeping the canine-human bond intact. Annie creates a written Behavior/training roadmap for your dog.

(8 weeks / $1,600)

This behavior/training package is a one-on-one, 8-week intensive educational and consult work with Pro Dog Trainer and Behaviourist Annie Phenix that is designed for owners observing troubling behavior in their dog that can include reactivity, aggression, compulsive behavior, growling at people and up to Level 3 bite (using the Canine Bite Scale developed by Dr. Sophia Yin: (https://prckc.org/wp-content/uploads/Canine-Bite-Levels.pdf). Level 3 bites include skin punctures. Annie also works with obedience training including: loose leash walking, recall, polite people greetings, puppy pre-school, etc.

Biting is a serious matter that can put an owner in legal danger and the dog is at risk for euthanasia. Biting must be addressed ASAP – do not wait for a dog to “outgrow” a serious biting issues or reactivity. The sooner you bring in a qualified behavior expert, the better chances we have for helping your dog. This package also addresses anxious/reactive behavior in dogs and includes expert instruction on excessive behaviors and/or shy dogs.

This behavior package includes eight 1-hour consults (in-person locally or virtually) that are tailored to your dog and your unique experience. Annie creates a written Behavior Roadmap for your dog. We meet over Zoom every week and you can email Annie throughout the training period for any reason and you will receive a priority response within 24 hours. Annie will email educational materials that directly speak to your dog’s issues all while keeping the canine-human bond intact.

This behavior/training package is a one-on-one (in-person locally or virtually), 12-week educational and consult work with Pro Dog Trainer and Behaviourist Annie Phenix is designed for owners observing long-term (longer than 6 months) troubling behavior (including reactivity, growling at people, dog fighting, etc) in their dog that can include up to Level 3 bite (using the Canine Bite Scale developed by Dr. Sophia Yin: (https://prckc.org/wp-content/uploads/Canine-Bite-Levels.pdf). Level 3 bites include skin punctures. Annie also works with obedience training including: loose leash walking, recall, polite people greetings, puppy pre-school, etc.
